In February this year, Fen Ditton Gallery called for contemporary printmakers to enter the inaugural Contemporary Printmaking Prize - a new initiative to highlight the exciting works of UK artists working in the field of print.
We were thrilled to receive over 550 submissions for the prize and a final shortlist of 40 artists has been selected by our panel of judges, all specialists within the printmaking world: Sculptor and draughtsman, Nigel Hall RA, Printmaker and collage artist, Rebecca Jewell and Curator of prints at the Fitzwilliam Museum, Elenor Ling.
The prize was free to enter and the overall winner will receive £500 and receive the opportunity to be featured across the Fen Ditton Gallery networks and record an interview with Hannah on our podcast.
